Sample Cases

Available when a collection is selected.

This command creates a new collection, a sample collection, which contains ten cases randomly chosen with replacement, from the selected (source) collection. (An animation illustrates the sampling: A blue ball flies from the source to the sample collection.)Inspect the sample collection to change the default settings (to change sample size or to sample without replacement, for example).

Using this command is equivalent to dropping a (source) collection’s name onto an empty collection.
