Import From URL

Fathom Reference > Fathom Menus > File Menu > Import > Import From URL

Imports data from the Internet. This command is enabled when you have copied a URL.

Choosing this command invokes a dialog box into which you can type or paste a URL. (The URL must be for the Web page that actually has the data on it.)

Dropping a URL from a browser into a Fathom document has the same effect as using this command. (see Import Data from the Internet.)

•You should look at the data in a case table to see whether the import worked as planned. (With the collection selected, make a new case table.)

•You might want to check the collection’s comments; text that isn’t data might be stored here (such as data source, explanations of attributes, and other notes).

•If the import didn’t work as well as expected, you could try copying the data from the Web page and pasting it into an empty collection.
