How To... > Create Experiments > Work with Meters A meter gives you an onscreen view of a data-generating device, such as a temperature sensor or a photogate. Fathom can collect data from Vernier sensors and Texas Instruments sensors. (The Texas Instruments sensors are identical to sensors from Vernier.) In a meter, you can see the current value being returned by the sensor. Drag the plug in a meter to a collection to create an experiment with which you can gather the meter's values. (see Collect Values from a Meter ).
