Undo |
Fathom Reference > Fathom Menus > Edit Menu > Undo The wording of this command changes to reflect your latest action. Choosing it undoes that action.
Fathom has unlimited Undo (and Redo); you can use it to undo your actions, one at a time, all the way back to when you created or opened the document. Similarly, you can Redo those actions to restore the document to the state it was in before you started undoing.
Unlimited Undo/Redo is helpful for correcting mistakes by undoing something you didn’t mean to do. It is also helpful for diagnosing problems. If you don’t know why something happened on your screen, look in Undo to see what your last action was. You can then Undo and Redo, toggling back and forth until you understand what you did.
It’s also helpful for diagnosing student problems. Have the student Undo back to where they understood what they had. Then have them Redo each step, explaining at each step what they were trying to do. Shortcut: Win: Ctrl+Z; Mac: z+Z |
