How To... > Work with Summary Tables

Although graphs are fun, sometimes you just want to see numbers. That’s what the summary table is for. To have Fathom compute summary statistics from a collection, make a summary table, and drop attributes on it. By adding or editing formulas, you can compute anything you want.

You can also use an empty summary table as a calculator. If it is connected to a collection, the collection’s attributes and measures will be available in the formula editor. (see Use a Summary Table Without Attributes.)

You can create a collection from a summary table, where each formula is an attribute (see Create a Collection from the Cells of a Summary Table).
